Morning yoga facing the Himalaya in Dhulikhel
A slow morning on a terrace above Dhulikhel: a gentle yoga and breathing session with a local teacher as the sun lights the mountains, followed by a simple Nepali breakfast. Suitable for beginners and a good rest day before or after a trek.

Dhulikhel's hillside hotels look straight at the Himalaya, and mornings here are cool, quiet and clear in the dry season. We arrange a session with a local yoga teacher on a terrace or lawn facing the mountains, starting soon after sunrise when the air is still crisp.
The session runs about an hour: gentle stretches, standing poses, breathing practice and a short guided relaxation. Mats and blankets are provided. Teachers adapt to beginners, older travellers and trekkers with tired legs, and explain the poses in simple English.
Afterwards we share breakfast of fruit, curd, eggs or Nepali dishes, with the view of the mountains slowly fading into haze as the day warms. Many travellers book this on the day after a long hike or before a drive, as a calm, restorative start.
