Chitwan & the Terai in November
Excellent all round. Days are warm, nights cool and the first winter birds arrive at Bishazari Tal and Koshi Tappu. Chhath lights up the ghats of Janakpur in early to mid-November in most years, and Vivaha Panchami, the re-enacted wedding of Rama and Sita, falls in late November or December. Mid-month onward, park roads reopen and the first winter birds return to the wetlands.
